American Indian Health & Services (AIHS) in Pomona, CA is seeking a Medical Director to lead high-quality, culturally responsive care for American Indian, Alaska Native, and underserved communities. The role combines telehealth and on-site services with clinical leadership and program development.

Reporting to the CEO, you will supervise providers, support integrated primary care, and help expand access while upholding patient-centered standards and cultural grounding.

Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in a primary care specialty.
  • Current State of California medical license.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in community health, integrated care, or underserved settings preferred.
  • Membership in, or demonstrated experience working with, American Indian and Alaska Native communities strongly preferred.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive, patient-centered care.

Job description

American Indian Health & Services (AIHS) is seeking a mission-driven Medical Director for our Pomona California location to lead high-quality, culturally responsive care for American Indian, Alaska Native, and underserved communities. The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership, support integrated primary care, and help expand access through both telehealth and in-person services. Position Overview

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Medical Director oversees clinical services, supports medical providers and clinic staff, and helps ensure accessible, coordinated, and culturally grounded care in virtual and on-site settings.

Pay Range: Exempt $250,000 - $275,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

Work Schedule and Status
