Job description

Location: Albany, located in the heart of New York's Capital District, is a medium-sized area with an approximate population of 98,000. It offers all the amenities of a larger urban area in a beautiful, scenic, and affordable setting.

Facility: 440-bed community hospital providing a wide range of healthcare services, including medical, surgical, and emergency care.

Opportunity:

1. 100% hospital-employed position.
2. The Medical Director will lead a team of five physicians and four advanced practitioners. The practice benefits from access to tumor boards, grand rounds, and treats a wide range of cancers, including ample access to high-quality surgical services such as breast, thoracic, and hepatobiliary/pancreatic care.
3. Strong APP support in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
4. The multi-site practice has two locations on hospital campuses. The cancer program at St. Peter's Health Partners includes Hematology Oncology, Radiation Oncology, surgical services, radiologic services, and additional supportive services.
5. Outpatient clinics are located on the hospital campus.
6. Schedule: Clinic Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, daytime hours.
7. Call Rotation: 1:5.
8. Patient Demographics: Adult only.
9. Must be interested in providing both Hematological and Oncological care (50/50).
10. Number of physicians in practice: 4.
11. Five full-time Radiation Oncology physicians on-site.
12. Five APPs on-site.
13. Average outpatient patients per day: 20-30.
14. Average inpatient patients per day: 15-20.
15. EMR: Epic.
