Responsibilities:

• Complete timely, evidence-based medical case reviews for medical necessity using eviCore’s case management software.
• Conduct peer-to-peer consultations with referring providers regarding medical necessity and appropriateness of services.
• Recommend alternative treatments or services as appropriate.
• Collaborate with over 500 physician colleagues to ensure evidence-based patient care.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for medical necessity requests related to DME, Home Health, and other cases.

Requirements:

• M.D. or D.O. with active U.S. medical license and board certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• At least 5 years of relevant clinical experience post-residency/fellowship.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and standards.
• Ability to work a set weekly schedule, including intermittent weekend call.
• Strong computer skills and ability to meet physical demands of the role.
