Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ, is seeking a Pediatric Neurology lead to provide clinical expertise and lead program development within the Valley Medical Group and Valley-Mount Sinai Children’s Health Service line. The physician will participate in department activities, education, and outreach to schools and community groups.

Ideal candidates hold Board Certification in Pediatric Neurology, NJ license/DEA/CDS eligibility, and CME credits.

Job description

Position Summary

The Pediatric Neurology program provides consultation and other professional services as part of the Valley Medical Group and Valley-Mount Sinai Children's Health Service line in northern New Jersey. This provider would be the lead to provide clinical expertise in pediatric neurology care at the Valley Hospital and the Kireker Center for Child Development (KCCD). In addition, this clinician provides consultation and education for our clinicians, clients, interested community groups, and helps support our broader community-based services for special needs populations.

Physician in this role will also participate in Department of Pediatrics activities, Kireker Center for Child Development (KCCD), and Hospital Committee meetings as deemed appropriate by the Chair. The physician will provide outreach to interested community groups, including schools, childcare programs, parent groups, and other programs. The KCCD offers a broad spectrum of services, including speech, physical, and occupational therapy, with an on‑site audiology service.

Clinical requirements include Board Certification in Pediatric Neurology, ability to work collaboratively with our PM&R and Developmental Pediatrics team, and help build a program. Experience in EEG interpretation is a plus.

In this position, you will be part of a larger multi‑specialty group with experienced providers in Endocrinology, Developmental Pediatrics, Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine, Food Allergy, Cardiology, and PM&R, all in collaboration with Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital and Mount Sinai Health System. Academic appointments at the Icahn School of Medicine are possible based on previous academic ranking and productivity.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent degree
• Board certified in Pediatric Neurology
• Existing or eligible for New Jersey Medical License, DEA, and CDS required
• Maintains CME credit hours as required for Board Certification and/or hospital staff privileges
