Medical Director - Pediatric Cardiologist - Evicore - Remote

Role Overview:

As a Pediatric Cardiologist Medical Director at Evicore, part of Evernorth Health Services (a division of The Cigna Group), you will leverage your clinical expertise to provide evidence-based medical reviews for patient care. This role involves collaboration with healthcare providers, staying current on healthcare regulations, and reviewing a wide range of cases. Key Responsibilities:

1. Complete time-sensitive, specialized medical case reviews for medical necessity using eviCore’s case management software.
2. Conduct peer-to-peer physician consultations to discuss medical necessity and appropriateness of services.
3. Recommend alternative treatments or services when appropriate.
4. Collaborate with over 500 physician colleagues to ensure evidence-based patient care.
5. Participate in remote training and mentorship programs.

Minimum Requirements:

• M.D. or D.O. with active U.S. medical license and board certification in Pediatric Cardiology
• Eligible for additional state licensure
• At least 5 years of relevant clinical experience
• Knowledge of applicable laws and standards
• Strong computer skills and ability to work autonomously
• Physical ability to perform role duties, including typing, speaking, and listening
• Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 10Mbps download / 5Mbps upload)

Additional Details:

Salary range: $203,200 - $338,600 annually, depending on experience and location.

Participation in an annual bonus plan is anticipated.
