Job summary

HealthDrive Corporation is seeking a Medical Director to collaborate with Nurse Practitioners caring for residents in skilled nursing facilities. This on-site role involves leading clinical governance, quality initiatives, and comprehensive primary care across rehab and long-term care units.

The ideal candidate holds an MD/DO, Maryland Medical Director Certification, and a US residency, with a valid DEA license.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active MD or DO license in-state
• Maryland Medical Director Certification required
• DEA/CS license in-state
• Completed U.S. residency program
• MD/DO from an accredited program
• Strong communication with geriatric patients
• Able to work independently and with on-site staff
• Proficient with email and healthcare software

Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Director for skilled nursing facilities/rehabs and participate in quality initiatives
• Attend monthly QI/regulatory meetings and quarterly staff meetings
• Supervise facility clinical staff and oversee care plans
• Collaborate with NPs to manage daily resident care
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care and conduct rounds
