The Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases (DDD) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) invites applications for a faculty position at the level of Associate or full Professor ranks for the recruitment of a gastroenterologist to serve as the Medical Director of the Robert G. Kardashian Center for Esophageal Health.

The applicant must have an M.D. or D.O. degree with completion of Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship from an ACGME accredited program. It is desirable, but not mandatory, for applicants to have had additional training in neurogastroenterology and motility. Candidates must be eligible for a California medical license and be board certified in Gastroenterology.

The ideal candidate has experience overseeing the operations of a GI motility lab, strong communication and teaching skills, research publications in the area of esophagology and gastrointestinal motility, and an interest in collaborating on scholarly activities not only within the DDD and Department of Medicine (DOM), but also with other departments in the David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM). The candidate must have a strong commitment toward overseeing the operations and expansion of our gastrointestinal motility lab, research, and educating trainees including the development of an Esophageal and Motility fellowship program. The position is based at our Westwood location but involves oversight regarding esophageal and motility testing at all our clinical practice locations within the UCLA Health System.

The Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases at UCLA is a national leader in gastrointestinal care and research with nearly 100 faculty clinicians and scientists in and across UCLA Health locations throughout the greater Los Angeles area. The Center for Esophageal Health is comprised of gastroenterologists, general and thoracic surgeons, head and neck surgeons, oncologists including radiation oncologists, psychologists, specialized gastrointestinal dietitians, an administrative nurse coordinator, motility lab nurses, and medical assistants who collaborate to bring the highest level of care to our patients.

The salary range for this position is $193,200-$411,500.
