Medical Director, Medical Affairs, Genetic Medicines - MASH

The Medical Director, Medical Affairs, will hold a strategic leadership role, reporting to the Medical Director, Global Medical Affairs, Genetic Medicine. They will lead medical strategy development, planning, and execution of medical affairs activities in therapeutic areas at Regeneron, prioritizing patient benefit. The role ensures scientific integrity and accuracy in medical activities, providing scientific and medical leadership as a key resource.

The Medical Director will lead the Medical Impact Team within Medical Affairs, focusing on global and US deliverables, aligning with research & development, product planning, access & reimbursement, and patient advocacy teams. They will also represent Regeneron externally with healthcare professionals, research groups, payers, and partners.

Typical responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and overseeing medical strategies and tactics, including scientific communications, publications, and collaborations.
  2. Applying therapeutic expertise to address medical needs and appropriate use of investigational medicines.
  3. Supporting data management, dissemination, and publication efforts.
  4. Supporting design, conduct, and analysis of Medical Affairs studies.
  5. Building long-term partnerships with external stakeholders.
  6. Organizing advisory board meetings.
  7. Supporting investigator-initiated studies and participating in review committees.
  8. Ensuring medical material accuracy and overseeing review of promotional materials.

The ideal candidate has:

  • MD or MD equivalent; Ph.D. or PharmD considered with relevant experience.
  • 5+ years in global or US medical affairs within industry.
  • Experience in drug development, lifecycle management, and gene therapies, with preference for MASH/NASH experience.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
