Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian to join our team at TLC Animal Clinic in Chino Hills, CA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high‑quality veterinary care and possess excellent communication skills to build lasting relationships with clients. Leaders are welcome: a Medical Director role is available for experienced veterinarians interested in career growth and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high‑quality progressive veterinary care, including overseeing medical standards, setting policies, and ensuring positive communication among staff.
  • Manage patient care problems, client complaints, referral partner issues, and board complaints.
  • Develop and update medical policies, ensuring compliance with the State Veterinary Medical Practice Act, OSHA, and AAHA standards.
  • Monitor DVM performance and production, provide coaching, and serve as a mentor and role model for all staff veterinarians.
  • Lead candidate interviews for potential DVMs and identify new service opportunities.
  • Own revenue and practice success by tracking key performance indicators and working with the Hospital Manager to achieve positive results.
Qualifications (Required)
  • Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution.
  • Current State Veterinary License.
  • DEA registration maintained.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a veterinary practice.
  • Strong diagnostic, clinical, surgical, and dental skills.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderately demanding tasks.
