Elmwood Grove Animal Hospital in the Chicago area seeks a Managing Veterinarian to lead our talented 7-doctor team. The role focuses on overseeing surgical and medical cases with high clinical standards and exceptional client care, while mentoring associate veterinarians and staff in a collaborative environment.

This position partners with an experienced Hospital Manager on operations and offers a clear pathway toward practice ownership, with at least 5–7 years of DVM experience and leadership

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience as a DVM in a small animal GP or urgent care setting.
• Leadership skills and financial acumen are required for this role.
• Experience mentoring and guiding associate veterinarians.

Responsibilities

• Lead a well-established 7-doctor team as Medical Director/Managing Veterinarian.
• Oversee surgical and medical cases while upholding high clinical standards and client care.
