Job summary

Chapa-De Indian Health seeks a Physician leader to serve as Medical Director, guiding direct patient care and clinical leadership across a growing community health program. The role blends medical excellence with strategic leadership to advance health equity.

The position requires California licensure in Family Practice, board eligibility or certification, and a track record of mentoring clinicians while improving access and quality of care in a multi-site setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold California license in Family Practice and be board certified/eligible.
• Experience leading primary care teams and improving patient care.
• Ability to mentor providers and develop clinical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a clinical leader and role model for high-quality, person-centered care.
• Lead clinical standards, quality, and care delivery across Chapa-De’s medical services.
• Develop and mentor providers and emerging clinical leaders through coaching and collaboration.
• Use clinical and operational data to drive improvements in access, quality, and outcomes.
• Champion clinical compliance, licensing, credentialing, and standards readiness.
• Partner with executive and operational leaders to shape the future of the multi-site program.
