Job summary

VCA Edgewood Animal Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Medical Director to lead clinical care and set the direction of the hospital. You will be supported by a talented team and work in a network that values world‑class medicine and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university.
• Licensure in good standing to practice in IA or ability to obtain.

Schedule

• Full-time or part-time schedules available
• Our FT doctors typically work 4 days per week with rotating Saturdays
• Closed on Sundays
• Hours of Operation: M-F from 8 am to 6 PM
• Saturday hours: 8 AM to 2 PM

Cases

• Advanced care, canine and feline diabetes, preventive care. Primary care, sick visits, surgery, etc.

• Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, and other relevant credentials.
• Medical Director stipend (paid biweekly) and Medical Director annual bonus
