Job summary

9amHealth seeks a Supervising Medical Director, Autoimmune Program, to provide clinical leadership, direct patient care, and program oversight for autoimmune care. Initially about 50% direct consults, with growing leadership and staffing responsibilities as the program scales.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active, unrestricted medical license(s); board certification in Rheumatology (ABIM).
• Significant clinical experience managing autoimmune/inflammatory conditions.
• Experience supervising or collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams.
• Strong understanding of virtual/telehealth care delivery and AI familiarity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care (~50% initially): provide consultative care for autoimmune/inflammatory conditions.
• Deliver expert clinical guidance on member questions related to autoimmune disease management.
• Serve as a clinical touchpoint for members with complex needs.
• Team Building & Clinician Management: develop staffing models and supervision structures.
• Clinical Oversight: develop and maintain clinical protocols and escalation criteria.
