Job summary

Cornerstone Clinical Partners seeks a dynamic Medical Director/Attending Physician to lead clinical delivery for residents in our LTC-focused practice in Wilkesboro, NC. You will oversee care quality, mentor staff, and guide credentialing with a multidisciplinary team.

This part-time role includes direct patient care, program development, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. CMD certification is preferred and prior LTC leadership experience is valued.

Qualifications

• CMD certification preferred.
• Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement in LTC.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds and stand/walk for several hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing oversight, mentorship, and clinical guidance to staff.
• Foster a collaborative environment promoting best practices.
• Lead the interview and credentialing process for prospective medical staff.
• Chair or co-chair the QAPI Committee on a quarterly basis.
• Assist in DOH survey preparedness and regulatory compliance.
• Lead implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives.
• Stay informed of geriatric and long-term care advancements.

Job Summary

Cornerstone Clinical Partners is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Director/ Attending Physician to join our team. As the Medical Director/ Attending Physician , you will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of comprehensive care to patients, ensuring high-quality service, and promoting best practices across the healthcare team. You will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to clinical staff, fostering a collaborative environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing oversight, mentorship, and clinical guidance to the medical staff to maintain high standards of care
• Foster a collaborative environment that promotes best practices and continuous professional development
• Lead the interview and credentialing process for prospective medical staff
• Chair or co-chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee on a quarterly basis
• Assist in Department of Health (DOH) survey preparedness, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Lead the implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives
• Stay informed of advancements in geriatric and long-term care to continuously evolve the facility’s clinical offerings
• Provide direct patient care to residents, ensuring the highest quality of clinical treatment and support

Requirements

• Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification is preferred.
• Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in long-term care
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to enhance patient care and facility operations
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
• Competitive salary per annum: $50,000 - $60,000
