Job summary

Cornerstone Clinical Partners is seeking a dynamic Medical Director/Attending Physician to oversee delivery of comprehensive care within skilled nursing facilities in North Carolina. You will provide leadership to the clinical team, promote best practices, and guide program development while maintaining high standards of patient care.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to enhance facility operations in Henderson, NC.

Qualifications

• CMD certification preferred.
• Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in LTC.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand/walk/work on your feet up to 6–8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing oversight, mentorship, and clinical guidance to medical staff to maintain high standards of care.
• Chair or co-chair the QAPI Committee on a quarterly basis.
• Lead credentialing and interview processes for prospective medical staff.
• Assist in DOH survey preparedness and regulatory compliance.
• Lead implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives.
• Provide direct patient care to residents with high-quality clinical treatment.

Job Summary

Cornerstone Clinical Partners is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Director/ Attending Physician to join our team. As the Medical Director/ Attending Physician , you will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of comprehensive care to patients, ensuring high-quality service, and promoting best practices across the healthcare team. You will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to clinical staff, fostering a collaborative environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes best practices and continuous professional development
• Lead the interview and credentialing process for prospective medical staff
• Chair or co-chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee on a quarterly basis
• Assist in Department of Health (DOH) survey preparedness, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Lead the implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives
• Stay informed of advancements in geriatric and long-term care to continuously evolve the facility’s clinical offerings
• Provide direct patient care to residents, ensuring the highest quality of clinical treatment and support

Requirements

• Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification is preferred.
• Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in long-term care
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to enhance patient care and facility operations
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
• Competitive salary per annum: $50,000 - $60,000
