Cornerstone Clinical Partners in Thomasville, NC seeks a dynamic Medical Director/Attending Physician to lead clinical operations for our skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. You will oversee care delivery, guide clinical staff, and drive program development to improve resident outcomes.

This part-time role (1 day/week) offers a competitive salary range ($50,000–$60,000) and benefits within a physician-led group dedicated to high-quality geriatric care.

Formación

• CMD certification preferred.
• Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in long-term care.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to enhance patient care and facility operations.
• Prolonged standing and walking on facility floors; ability to lift/move patients as needed.

• Lead the interview and credentialing process for prospective medical staff.
• Chair or co-chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee on a quarterly basis.
• Assist in Department of Health (DOH) survey preparedness, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Lead the implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives.
• Stay informed of advancements in geriatric and long-term care to evolve the facility’s clinical offerings.
• Provide direct patient care to residents, ensuring high-quality clinical treatment and support.

Job Summary

Cornerstone Clinical Partners is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Director/ Attending Physician to join our team. As the Medical Director/ Attending Physician , you will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of comprehensive care to patients, ensuring high-quality service, and promoting best practices across the healthcare team. You will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to clinical staff, fostering a collaborative environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Requirements

• Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification is preferred.
• Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in long-term care
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to enhance patient care and facility operations
• Prolonged standing and walking on facility floors. Carrying a medical bag, laptop, tablet or diagnostic equipment. Bending, stooping, or assisting with positioning during exams. Navigating multi-level buildings, potentially with stairs or uneven surfaces. Lifting/moving patients.
