Job summary

VCA Thornton Animal Hospital in Colorado is seeking a Medical Director to lead medical quality and directions of the hospital while continuing to practice medicine. You will be supported by a team and backed by experts in operations, marketing, HR, payroll and more to help you succeed.

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
• Licensure in good standing to practice in Colorado, or the ability to obtain
• A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics

• Provide high-quality veterinary care for dogs and cats, focusing on medical excellence
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, Payroll and other teams to support hospital success

Schedule

• Full-Time schedule
• Our hospital is open Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm & Saturday from 8:00am - 4:00pm
• This position will include (4) 10-hour shifts

• Our practice focuses on providing comprehensive care for cats and dogs
• Mixture of wellness, sick, and emergency patients.

Total Rewards

Compensation

• Compensation negotiable based on experience, skills, knowledge, abilities and other relevant credentials. Annual salary starting at $130,000 - $155,000 plus stipends, production, and bonus potential.
• This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
