Job summary

Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking a dynamic Medical Director to oversee the delivery of comprehensive care for residents in long-term care facilities.

You will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to clinical staff while maintaining the highest standards of patient outcomes. This role involves contract work in Thief River Falls, MN with oversight of QAPI, credentialing, and program development, plus direct patient care as needed.

Qualifications

• CMD certification preferred.
• Extensive LTC/ SNF experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory and quality improvement in LTC.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds and stand/walk up to 6–8 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing mentorship and clinical guidance to medical staff to maintain high standards of care.
• Lead credentialing interviews for prospective medical staff.
• Chair or co-chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee on a quarterly basis.
• Assist in Department of Health (DOH) survey preparedness, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Lead the implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives.
• Provide direct patient care to residents and uphold high-quality clinical treatment.

As the Medical Director, you will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of comprehensive care to patients, ensuring high-quality service, and promoting best practices across the healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing oversight, mentorship, and clinical guidance to the medical staff to maintain high standards of care
• Foster a collaborative environment that promotes best practices and continuous professional development
• Lead the interview and credentialing process for prospective medical staff
• Chair or co-chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee on a quarterly basis
• Assist in Department of Health (DOH) survey preparedness, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Lead the implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives
• Stay informed of advancements in geriatric and long-term care to continuously evolve the facility’s clinical offerings
• Provide direct patient care to residents, ensuring the highest quality of clinical treatment and support

Requirements

• Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification is preferred.
• Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in long-term care
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to enhance patient care and facility operations
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
• Competitive salary per annum: $100,000 - $120,000
