Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital of Wilson, NC, one of only two VECCS-certified facilities in North Carolina, is seeking an experienced veterinarian to serve as Medical Director for our established specialty and emergency referral hospital. As Medical Director, you will play a key role in advancing medical excellence, supporting team development, strengthening referral relationships, and fostering a hospital culture centered on collaboration, accountability, and high-quality medicine.

You will work closely with seasoned leaders dedicated to the purpose of the hospital to serve its community. This role offers meaningful leadership involvement while allowing you to remain connected to patient care and clinical practice.

Work alongside boarded specialists in Surgery, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Emergency & Critical Care, and stable team of experienced emergency veterinarians. Our culture encourages collaboration, mentorship, shared case management, and continuous learning to support both patients and veterinary professionals.

State-of-the-Art Facility

Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital operates from a purpose-built specialty facility designed by a veterinarian to support advanced patient care and a healthy work environment. While bathed is sunlight from its expansive windows, your clinical resources will include Instinct Treatment + EMR, laparoscopy, arthroscopy, in-house 64-slice CT with an in-house DACVR, dedicated ICU nursing support, telemetry ECG, endoscopy, high-flow oxygen, and Hollowell ventilators.
