Job summary

PMC Medical Staffing is seeking a Medical Director (DO) for an employer-sponsored health clinic in Reno, NV. The physician will lead preventive care, clinical operations, and a high-performing healthcare team in a patient-centered setting.

The role requires a DO, Nevada license (or ability to obtain), active DEA registration, and 3+ years of clinical experience in primary care or related fields. Expect leadership duties and a focus on quality outcomes with an annual bonus program.

Qualifications

• DO from an accredited institution.
• Active Nevada medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience in Family Medicine/Internal Medicine/Occupational Medicine/Primary Care preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
• Leadership experience or prior Medical Director experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care and lead clinical operations.

• Diagnose, evaluate, and treat acute and chronic conditions.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging; prescribe medications.

About the Role

The Medical Director will provide comprehensive primary care services while helping lead clinical operations and support a high-performing healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual physicals, wellness visits, and preventive health screenings
• Diagnose, evaluate, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other procedures
• Prescribe medications and educate patients regarding treatment plans, risks, and expected outcomes
• Provide patient education focused on wellness, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices
• Coordinate care with specialists and make referrals when appropriate
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to ensure exceptional patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the healthcare team

Qualifications

• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
• Active and unrestricted Nevada medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience preferred
• Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Occupational Medicine, or Primary Care strongly preferred
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership experience or prior Medical Director experience is a plus
