New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center (NYPCC) is seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and psychiatric oversight across Article 31 outpatient clinics located in the Bronx, Bushwick, East New York and Jackson Heights.

This role blends direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services in compliance with OMH guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• MD from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted New York State physician license.
• Board-certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry preferred.
• Active DEA registration.
• Minimum 3 years of psychiatric clinical experience, preferably outpatient.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in behavioral health settings.
• Experience with OMH Article 31 clinics and regulatory standards.
• Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare and value-based care models.

Job Description

New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center (NYPCC) is seeking a Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and psychiatric oversight across our Article 31 outpatient mental health clinics located in the Bronx, Bushwick, East New York and Jackson Heights.

This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services in compliance with the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH).

The Medical Director will supervise prescribers, support interdisciplinary care, and collaborate with executive leadership to advance clinical quality and program development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight for psychiatric services across outpatient clinics
• Supervise and mentor psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning
• Ensure compliance with OMH regulations and clinical standards
• Participate in quality assurance, risk management, and performance improvement initiatives
• Monitor prescribing practices and support safe medication management
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership on program development and strategic initiatives

Additional Information

Reporting Structure

The Medical Director reports to the Chief Executive Officer and Vice President, Chief Clinical Officer and works closely with clinical and program leadership.

Salary: $325,000 - $350,000/year
