National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking an enthusiastic Medical Director to lead our hospital team and maintain AAHA-equivalent standards while delivering high-quality medical care. The role includes medical leadership, staff mentorship, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a collaborative environment.
As part of the KIT Division network, the Medical Director collaborates with Hospital Manager to drive financial performance and operations, fostering teamwork and exceptional client
We are a well-established small animal clinic located only 45 minutes south of Louisville, and take pride in being one of the select few veterinary hospitals in the state that is AAHA accredited.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Medical Director to join our team and continue to grow professionally. Our current 4-doctor practice provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care in a fun and team-focused environment.
We are able to offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package to include:
The Medical Director is responsible for providing medical leadership for the hospital, managing associate veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance relating to the practice of veterinary medicine. The Managing Doctor is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork in which quality medicine and exceptional client service are delivered.
In partnership with the Hospital Manager, the Medical Director is responsible for the financial performance and general operations of the hospital under the guidance of Divisional Leadership. In addition, the Hospital Manager and Medical Director are responsible for cultivating a supportive and collaborative team environment.
The Medical Director partners with the Hospital Manager (Field/Divisional leadership team) to drive financial performance and general operations of the hospital and to more broadly cultivate a supportive and collaborative team environment. This hospital-level team is supported by their KIT Divisional Leadership who provides practice management training, reporting, and ongoing resources to develop a best in class hospital. The hospital is one of many that report into this KIT division, so the Managing Veterinarian can expect to network with and learn from peers in similar roles in veterinary clinics nearby.
We also have a satellite location, North Hardin Veterinary Clinic, which is located only 15 minutes away in Radcliff, KY. Our team of doctors and staff rotate to both locations to better serve our community.
Elizabethtown is close to many attractions that Kentucky has to offer but far enough away to keep the hustle and bustle on the low end. We are just 45 minutes away from Louisville, where the Kentucky Derby is held. Also near the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green and not far from Abraham Lincoln’s birth place. The Patton Museum, Freeman Lake, Stephen Foster, and many more historical attractions are close by. There is a small community college, Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, nearby.
