Job summary

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience in food service that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade.
• The KSAs (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) and management preferences are not required.
• The ability to use various computer programs such as e-mail, Microsoft Word, and Excel as well as general office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve diets as ordered to each resident according to a pre-planned schedule.
• Prepare some menu items and prepare the menu for serving.
• Maintain safe temperatures of food items and plating according to diets; follow safe food handling policies/procedures.
• Wash and storage of dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and appliances in the kitchen.
