Job summary

Masimo in Irvine, CA, is seeking an Engineer II, Software Test, to design, develop, and execute test strategies for medical device systems. You will own functional, integration, and system-level testing and build automated test scripts using Python, TCL, or similar.

You will collaborate with software, hardware, systems, and quality teams to ensure product quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance, reporting with traceability and validation documentation.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a computer science/engineering field or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years in medical device testing, system validation, or software quality engineering.
• Strong understanding of system-level testing across hardware, software, and integrated systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test strategies, plans, and test cases for medical device systems.
• Execute functional, integration, and system-level testing.
• Review requirements and architecture for testability and coverage.
• Develop test reports, traceability matrices, and validation docs.
• Build automated test scripts using Python, TCL, or similar.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, and quality teams to meet quality goals.
• Support system integration and troubleshooting efforts.
