Job summary

Russell Tobin is partnering with a medical device and healthcare organization to identify a Repair Technician near San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on testing, troubleshooting, and repairing medical devices in a compliant, fast-paced environment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, document parts used, and support engineering and service teams. This is a 12-month contract with competitive pay of $20–$25 per hour, onsite schedule Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of electrical assembly, troubleshooting, or repair experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, BOMs, and test procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on medical devices.
• Repair and replace cables, boards, and components.
• Support software/firmware uploads and log downloads.
• Document parts used and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace.
• Provide technical support to teams and customers.
