Job summary

Merit Medical Systems, Inc. in South Jordan, Utah, is seeking a capable technician for design, assembly and operation of equipment. The role involves building tooling and fixtures, developing test procedures and analyzing assembly issues.

Overtime may be required. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma with extensive technician experience (or an associate/bachelor with related work), strong analytical and teamwork skills, and proficiency with standard software and testing

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a High School Diploma with seven years of technician experience.
• Associate's Degree with five years of technician experience or Bachelor's with three years.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve moderately complex technical problems.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing, databases).
• Ability to work well as a team member.
• Knowledge of various tooling and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Designs and builds tooling, test fixtures and assembly equipment.
• Develops test and assembly procedures.
• Investigates and analyzes product and assembly problems.
• May supervise technicians, lab and equipment.
• Prepares test specimens, records data and reports results.
• Writes and presents data reports.
• Receives guidance from engineers for complex problems.
