Project Manager – Medical Device Robotics R&D - w2 CONSULTANT ROLE

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead and coordinate research and development (R&D) projects in medical device robotics. This role will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, ensuring project milestones are met, and driving innovation in robotic medical devices from concept to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of R&D projects related to medical robotics.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, regulatory, clinical, and manufacturing teams to ensure project alignment.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to FDA, ISO, and other relevant medical device regulations.
• Budget & Resource Management: Develop project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and track financial performance.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to leadership, external partners, and internal teams.
• Product Development: Support the design, testing, and validation of robotic medical devices.
• Process Improvement: Continuously refine project management methodologies to enhance efficiency and innovation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of project management experience in medical devices, robotics, or R&D.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with robotic systems, medical device development, and regulatory requirements.
• Project Management Skills: Strong expertise in Agile, PMP, or other project management methodologies.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead diverse teams.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate complex technical challenges and drive solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FDA design controls and ISO 13485.
• Background in robotic-assisted surgery or automated medical systems.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP, Agile, or equivalent).
