Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company in El Paso, TX is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections of medical devices and components.

You will document results, report non-conformances, and participate in CAPA, audits, and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 13485, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.

On-site role with hands-on QA tools and measurement equipment; ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in a technical field preferred.
• 1-3 years of quality control/quality assurance experience in regulated environments.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• GMP and ISO 13485 / FDA 21 CFR Part 820 familiarity is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections of materials, components, and finished medical devices according to procedures.
• Conduct tests including visual inspections, dimensional measurements, functional tests, and material verification.
• Document inspection and test results accurately and report non-conformances.
• Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist investigations and disposition of non-conforming materials.
• Utilize and maintain QC tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Support root cause analysis and CAPA activities as needed.
• Assist in development and revision of inspection procedures and quality documentation.
• Adhere to GMP and quality system regulations (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820).
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues.
• Participate in internal and external audits as required.
