Job summary

TE Connectivity Ltd. is seeking a design and development engineer to create medical cable interconnect assemblies for the Surgical and Interventional Market.

The role requires translating customer requirements into feasible specifications and leading FMEA and cross-functional design reviews to ensure robust products. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Engineering (ME or EE) with 2+ years of electro-mechanical design experience, knowledge of FDA/ISO13485, and proficiency in Creo and ANSYS.

Qualifications

• Design and develop medical products per customer requirements.
• Experience with DFx, FMEA and risk analysis for NPI projects.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO13485 preferred.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead initial technical reviews and cost estimation for quotes.
• Translate requirements into product specifications and features.
• Direct design verification testing and document test reports.
• Perform cross-functional design reviews throughout the NPI process.
• Develop and improve legacy products for cost savings.
• Represent TE’s capabilities to external customers.
