Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. in Connecticut seeks a Mechanical Engineering Technician for a 12-month contract on W2. The role focuses on maintenance, line improvement, and problem-solving in a medical devices production setting.

The candidate will lead maintenance activities, collaborate with operators, and ensure adherence to quality systems and safety regulations. Prior PLC experience and manufacturing background are preferred, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2-year degree required; BA/BS preferred in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering; extensive experience can substitute degree.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Investigate losses (breakdown, waste, speed) and determine root causes.
• Support line maintenance with planned/unplanned activities to improve OEE.
• Coach technicians and operators on problem-solving tools and countermeasures.
• Lead maintenance activities and ensure proper documentation in SAP.
• Maintain equipment settings and update maintenance standards as needed.
