Job summary

Kelly Services in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an Equipment Operator I to safely operate simple automated assembly machines for medical devices. The role handles routine production tasks, resolves basic machine faults, and supports quality and run-rate targets.

The position offers a 12-hour rotating shift (6:30 AM–6:30 PM) with pay of $18.00 per hour. Requirements include reading procedures, basic computer skills, a HS diploma or GED, and being at least 18.

Qualifications

• Read and understand procedures.
• Basic computer experience including Outlook, Excel and Word.
• High school diploma, GED, or completion of an employment assessment, as applicable.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Keep the work area and equipment clean.
• Read and follow work instructions and procedures.
• Operate equipment safely and in accordance with company standards.
• Start machines from a powered-off state.
• Complete work-order setups in electronic batch record, data acquisition, and inventory management systems.
• Operate machines, jigs, and fixtures to produce quality products at established run rates.
• Read equipment gauges and dials as required.
• Interpret machine faults, correct basic issues, and restart equipment.
• Complete production records and work-order documentation.
• Inspect or test products to confirm quality.
• Weigh, count, package, and label finished products.
• Learn to operate simple machines and demonstrate flexibility in operating multiple machines.
