Job summary

Stryker is looking for an Industrial Design Intern to support a cross-functional team—designers, engineers, researchers, and marketers—in developing humane, human-centered medical products. You’ll contribute to early concepts, 2D visualization, and 3D prototypes, while learning CAD and rendering techniques that communicate design intent.

You will gain hands-on experience with ergonomics, user research, and cross‑functional collaboration, plus exposure to the medical device development process

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design or a related field and must remain enrolled.
• Cumulative GPA 3.0 or above.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and CAD tools; portfolio required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and concept development through sketching and prototyping.
• Translate user needs into improved ergonomics, usability, and aesthetics.
• Support form definition and visual language aligned to brand.
• Contribute to user-centered design research and presentations.
• Create visual assets, storyboards, diagrams for design intent.
