Job Description: Medical Device Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Summary: The Medical Device Cybersecurity Analyst will respond to cybersecurity alerts, perform audits and risk assessments of medical devices, and provide expertise on medical device cybersecurity using Crothall resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and respond to cybersecurity findings and mitigation steps on Crothall’s platform.
2. Possess strong knowledge of computers, operating systems, security, and networking.
3. Interpret technical documentation and manuals.
4. Generate client reports bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
5. Perform GAP analysis on medical devices with Crothall’s CMMS.
6. Create and assign security work orders in Crothall’s CMMS.
7. Respond to and triage work orders from the cybersecurity module.
8. Ensure timely completion of work orders and assist onsite resources as needed.
9. Research OEM patches and firmware upgrades.
10. Maintain databases of patches, firmware, and MDS2 forms.
11. Collaborate with clients on mitigation and controls for medical devices.
12. Participate in Crothall’s CEIT Council.
13. Maintain security metrics and improve controls.
14. Assist in threat intelligence and zero-day monitoring.
15. Develop and implement best practices for risk management.
16. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety criteria.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience with medical equipment maintenance and repair.
• High attention to detail and quality work.
• Process improvement experience.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Overnight travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare experience; biomedical knowledge.
• Knowledge of healthcare cybersecurity.
• Experience with CMMS and connected medical device platforms.

Education:

• Associates degree in IT or Biomedical Engineering.
• Security+ certification within 3 years.
• BMET preferred.
