Job description

About the Opportunity:

• Job Title: Medical Device Assembly

• Pay Rate Range: $20.50/Hour

• Location: Forest Lake, MN

• Schedule: 3rd Shift, M-F, 11:15pm - 7:15am.

• Position Type: Temp to Hire

Medical Device Assembly Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 1 year experience in plastic injection molding preferred.
  2. Preferred High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  3. The ability to run one or more jobs at the same time while completing them on time; professional communication between coworkers and other departments.
  4. Basic understanding of scales and other required measuring equipment.
  5. Knowledge of a variety of secondary operations equipment.
  6. Understanding blueprint reading.
  7. Ability to be able to perform daily tasks safely.
  8. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  9. Walking is required within the office/shop areas.
  10. Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements.
  11. Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception.
  12. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  13. Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance.
  14. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment.
  15. Must have dexterity with hands.
  16. Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner.
  17. Ability to make decisions with limited information.
  18. Ability to work under a high stress level while meeting customer needs.

Medical Device Assembly Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform basic sorting procedures and assembly work using secondary operations equipment including pad printers and sonic welders.
  2. Inspect and document parts per the Inspection instructions.
  3. Perform trimming work requiring knives or cutters; assist in assembly and hand painting.
  4. Read and understand all information contained in the Manufacturing Instruction Manual, including but not limited to inspection instructions, bill of materials, certificate of workmanship and work instructions.
  5. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  6. Work cooperatively with all employees.
  7. Assemble lifesaving and life-improving components and devices.
  8. Check components for defects to ensure they meet standards.
  9. Cut and trim by hand.
  10. Use small hand tools in the assembly process.
  11. Operate machines and assemble products.
  12. Perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  13. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
