Job Description

This employee performs equipment setups, specifically concentrators, durable medical equipment, etc., in a professional, safe, and timely manner. This equipment is placed in apartments, private homes, clinics, hospitals, nursing homes, and other areas where people with respiratory problems are treated.

Job Responsibilities

1. Complete equipment orientation checklists for new equipment and other necessary paperwork as required for new patient setup.
2. Instruct patients in the safe and proper use of equipment.
3. Make oxygen deliveries (cylinder and concentrator) and perform equipment checks on a daily route as determined by patient base and routing system.
4. Deliveries may include refilling reservoirs with liquid oxygen from a van-mounted tank.
5. Perform minor equipment repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment both in the home and at the center.
6. Package equipment for shipment to the manufacturer or their designee for repairs requiring more than minor work.
7. Perform equipment maintenance as per the schedule recommended by the manufacturer.
8. Maintain company vehicle in a clean and orderly manner.
9. Make daily inspections and complete proper paperwork.
10. Maintain established preventative maintenance schedule.
11. Clean rental equipment when returned to the center, following policies and procedures.
12. Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse/storage area.
13. Follow FDA guidelines related to cylinder tracking and oxygen analyzer testing.
14. Adhere to policies outlined in the operations manual and training manuals, including those in the Safety & Regulatory manual concerning safety, OSHA, DOT, FDA, and emergency planning.
15. Work as an on-call service representative during evenings and weekends as scheduled.
16. Respond promptly to service calls and record information on Service Call Reports.
17. Serve as a backup for other employees during vacation, illness, or absenteeism.
