Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Houston, TX. You will spend most days in a company-owned vehicle, driving and transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and hospital supplies between facilities in the Westchase area.

Applicants must be 19+ with a valid driver’s license and reliable driving history, able to lift 50 pounds, and willing to pass drug and alcohol screening.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ with an active driver's license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and scanning devices.
• Ability to follow procedures closely and work safely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Drive a non-commercial vehicle on varied roads and weather.
• Excellent driving history is required.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination depending on location.
• Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Walk long distances and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Drive in a company-owned vehicle, transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, and supplies.
• Operate a hand-held scanner to track items through the transport cycle.
• Follow operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload items using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain safe driving behavior and a clean vehicle.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and keep the vehicle neat and orderly.
• Adapt to route changes and varying client needs as assigned.
• Show teamwork and cooperation with teammates and clients.
• Contribute to a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
