Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Columbus, OH. You will drive a company vehicle, transport lab specimens and medical supplies, and use a handheld scanner to track items.

Open availability from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM with no set shift; schedules are given two weeks in advance and routes vary across Ohio. Candidates must be 19+, hold a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years, pass drug and alcohol screens, lift up to 50 pounds, and maintain a clean driving

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver's license for 3 years.
• Must pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Most of your day will be spent in a company-owned vehicle, safely driving and transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
• Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat and orderly vehicle.
• Route duties vary based on client and business needs; capable of performing across all assigned routes.
• Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
