Job summary

MedSpeed is hiring a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Indianapolis. You will spend most days in a company vehicle, safely transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies and related materials to clients and between facilities.

This role emphasizes safety, professional presentation, route planning, and teamwork. You must be 19+ with an active driver’s license for 3 years, pass drug tests, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years
• Must pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
• Must regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to follow procedures closely
• Drive a non-commercial vehicle on varying roads and weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies and related materials
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle
• Present a professional image to clients and the public
• Load and unload items from company vehicles
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean vehicle
• Route tasks based on client needs and adapt to changing routes
• Collaborate with teammates and clients to maintain a MedSpeed team culture
