Responsibilities of a MedSpeed Medical Driver

• Most of your day will be spent in a company-owned vehicle, safely transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
• Observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules strictly.
• Present a professional image through appearance and interaction with clients and the public.
• Load and unload vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Drive safely and courteously, demonstrating responsible behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat vehicle.
• Perform all route duties as assigned, with flexibility for changes based on client and business needs.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19 years old with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and procedures.
• Ability to determine efficient routes.
• Pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens.
• Drive a non-commercial vehicle in various weather conditions.
• Excellent driving history.
