Responsibilities of a MedSpeed Medical Driver
- Most of your day will be spent in a company-owned vehicle, safely transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials.
- Operate a hand-held scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
- Observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules strictly.
- Present a professional image through appearance and interaction with clients and the public.
- Load and unload vehicles with appropriate equipment.
- Drive safely and courteously, demonstrating responsible behavior.
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat vehicle.
- Perform all route duties as assigned, with flexibility for changes based on client and business needs.
- Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Must be 19 years old with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
- Dependability and reliability.
- Familiarity with technology and procedures.
- Ability to determine efficient routes.
- Pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens.
- Drive a non-commercial vehicle in various weather conditions.
- Excellent driving history.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, depending on location and mandates.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfort walking long distances and standing for extended periods.
