Job summary

FedEx in Augusta, ME seeks a delivery driver responsible for operating company vehicles, delivering and picking up packages, and maintaining courteous customer service throughout shifts Tuesday–Saturday. You will lift packages over 50 lbs with equipment or help, ensure shipments meet service standards, and cover all routes within the station's area while adhering to FMCSA/FAA requirements.

A high school diploma is required and a valid driver\'s license with a clean record must be maintained;

• Able to lift and maneuver packages over 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Read and speak English to understand traffic signs and directions.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles and deliver/pick up packages courteously and efficiently.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
• Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.

Job description

Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Please refer to policy 4-48 for exact job requirements. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with your state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have good driving record as outlined in policy.
