What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist patients in understanding their financial responsibilities in a compassionate manner
- Handle inbound and outbound calls related to outstanding patient balances
- Meet or exceed established performance metrics
- Document all conversations electronically on company or client systems
- Help patients determine eligibility for financial assistance programs and provide necessary information to Client Services
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1 year of previous call center experience (in-office or remote)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency with PC-based applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Ability to understand and comply with federal and state laws regarding collections policies and procedures
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare, insurance, and FDCPA
- Experience with medical billing or claims processing
- Strong time management and decision-making skills
- Proven track record of providing excellent customer service, especially in challenging situations
