Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a full-time Courier for the Lancaster area. The role transports specimens, laundry, and supplies between LGH facilities and offices, following strict time windows to preserve specimen integrity. Candidates must hold a PA driver’s license and have prior motor-vehicle experience.

Responsibilities include operating an LGH vehicle, maintaining route sheets, and coordinating with clients and staff. Strong attention to safety and accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• A valid Pennsylvania driver’s license is required.
• At least two years of experience operating a motor vehicle is required.

Responsibilities

• Drives daily from the Suburban Outpatient Pavilion to LGH facilities, physicians' offices and satellites in a hospital vehicle, transporting specimens to the core laboratory.
• Operates an LGH owned vehicle to pick up patient specimens and other materials for analysis.
• Adheres to scheduled time windows to maintain specimen integrity during delivery.
• Documents route details, mileage, and items collected or delivered.
• Handles routine courier duties including laundry, supplies, and small equipment delivery as needed.
