Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Courier - Specialty in Irving, TX to deliver medical specimens and lab materials on a Monday to Friday schedule with rotational weekends. You will operate a company vehicle (non-CDL), use handheld scanners and route software, and communicate professionally with doctors, nurses and lab staff to ensure timely, accurate deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with ≤2 moving violations in last 36 months.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on the road.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and be on the move throughout shift.

Responsibilities

Medical Courier - Specialty - Irving, TX, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with rotational weekends (start time may vary slightly based on business need)

Pay range: $18.35+ per hour

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities

What you'll do:

• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens and lab materials; may be asked to cover additional routes as needed
• Communicate professionally with doctors, nurses, and lab staff to ensure timely deliveries
• Safely operate a company-provided vehicle (non-CDL)
• Use handheld scanners, route software, and mobile apps to track deliveries
• Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, storage, and documentation
• Comply with all DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety standards
• Complete office and logistics operations tasks as needed, including training team members, packing and shipping specimens for flights, and other related duties

Qualifications

What you need:

• Valid Driver's license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience and documentation of a Motor Vehicle Record with no more than two moving violation convictions within the previous 36-month period, with none in the most recent 12 months.
• Great customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, with reliable documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the road
• Comfortable using mobile devices or scanning tools
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and be on the move for much of your shift
• Prior medical, customer service, courier, or logistics experience is strongly preferred
