Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Medical Courier - Specialty in Irving, TX, Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM with rotational weekends. You will drive a company vehicle, deliver medical specimens, and coordinate with clinicians to ensure timely, accurate test logistics.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s license with 3+ years driving experience and an MVR with ≤2 moving violations in the prior 36 months, none in the last 12 months.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with reliable documentation.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on the road.
• Comfortable using mobile devices or scanning tools.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stay active during shifts.
• Prior medical, customer service, courier, or logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens and lab materials; may cover additional routes as needed.
• Communicate professionally with doctors, nurses, and lab staff to ensure timely deliveries.
• Safely operate a company-provided vehicle (non-CDL).
• Use handheld scanners, route software, and mobile apps to track deliveries.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, storage, and documentation.
• Comply with all DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety standards.
• Complete office and logistics tasks as needed, including training team members and shipping specimens for flights.

Pay range: $18.35+ per hour; employee may be eligible to receive shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on second shift and 15% for some or all hours worked on third shift. Additional details on shift differential will be provided if an offer is extended.

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

• Complete office and logistics operations tasks as needed, including training team members, packing and shipping specimens for flights, and other related duties

Qualifications

What you need:

• Valid Driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience and documentation of a Motor Vehicle Record with no more than two moving violation convictions within the previous 36-month period, with none in the most recent 12 months.
• Great customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, with reliable documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the road
• Comfortable using mobile devices or scanning tools
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and be on the move for much of your shift
• Prior medical, customer service, courier, or logistics experience is strongly preferred
