Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Salem, VA is seeking a Medical Courier - Advanced to join our mobile team. This role involves delivering medical specimens and lab materials on a dynamic schedule, with a focus on accuracy, safety, and professional communication with healthcare staff.

You will operate a non‑CDL company vehicle, use scanners and route software, and support patient care by ensuring timely deliveries.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license with 3+ years of driving experience.
Clean motor vehicle record with limited violations in the past 36 months.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and solve problems on the road.
Comfortable using mobile devices and scanning tools.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stay on the move during shifts.
Experience in medical, courier, or logistics is preferred.

Responsibilities

Pick up, transport, and deliver medical specimens and lab materials.
Communicate professionally with doctors, nurses, and lab staff to ensure timely deliveries.
Safely operate a company‑provided vehicle (non-CDL).
Use handheld scanners, route software, and mobile apps to track deliveries.
Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, storage, and documentation.
Comply with DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety standards.
Work a dynamic schedule including weekends and multiple shifts.
May complete special assignments or assist with group lead duties as needed.
