Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Pittsburgh, PA. You will operate a company vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-ray materials, and hospital supplies while ensuring safety and accurate item tracking.

Ideal candidates hold a valid 3-year driving history, are at least 19, and can lift up to 50 pounds. Training is provided, with a reliable schedule and opportunities for growth within a nationwide healthcare logistics team.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ with an active driver’s license for 3 years
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity working with technology and ability to follow procedures
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points
• Must pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen
• Must have an excellent driving history
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination depending on location

Responsibilities

• Drive a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies and related materials
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle
• Strictly observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction
• Load and unload materials and equipment, using proper lifting techniques
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat vehicle
• Route duties vary by client and may span multiple routes and assignments
• Demonstrate teamwork and build a collaborative MedSpeed team culture
