Hospital Couriers, now a BioTouch Company, is seeking a reliable Box Truck Medical Driver to transport patient specimens, medical supplies, equipment, and documents safely and on time.

You will load and unload, secure cargo, follow HIPAA and chain-of-custody requirements, complete paperwork, and communicate with Dispatch. The role requires careful attention to detail, independent work, and a professional, courteous demeanor when interacting with healthcare staff and patients.

Qualifikationen

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Experience operating a box truck, delivery vehicle, or similar vehicle is preferred.
• Experience in medical, healthcare, courier, or specimen transportation is a plus.
• Knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle safety procedures.
• Ability to operate a box truck and a manual pallet jack.
• Strong time-management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Confidentiality and HIPAA/privacy compliance.
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Aufgaben

• Operate a box truck safely to transport patient specimens, medical supplies, equipment, documents, and other materials.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials per company procedures and customer requirements.
• Maintain specimen integrity for temperature-sensitive items during transport.
• Verify items are labeled, secured, and delivered to the correct destination.
• Complete pickups and deliveries accurately within timeframes and routing requirements.
• Follow chain-of-custody, specimen-handling, security, and delivery procedures.
• Operate a manual pallet jack to move pallets and materials as needed.
• Maintain delivery/pickup records with signatures and status updates.
• Communicate delays, route changes, or issues with Dispatch/management promptly.
• Interact professionally with customers, healthcare personnel, patients, vendors, and coworkers.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect confidential information.
