Job summary

Carrus Health is seeking a Health Information Management coder to perform ICD-10 CM diagnosis and procedure coding, abstracting records, and related duties in an acute care setting. The role requires familiarity with ICD-10-PCS, CPT/HCPCS coding, and discharge analysis, supporting quality metrics and compliance programs.

Qualifications

• Two years' Health Information Management coding experience in an acute care facility or completion of HIM education program is preferred.
• Coding software experience is preferred.
• Understanding of Medicare/DRG, CMG, and APC systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ICD-10 CM diagnosis, procedure coding, and abstracting records.
• Responsible for ICD-10-PCS and CPT/HCPCS, and discharge analysis.
