• Consults references for accurate code assignment.
• Tracks issues requiring follow-up for timely coding.

Skills

Proficiently navigates electronic health records

ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding knowledge

Excellent organizational skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Education

Completion of AHIMA or AAPC-approved coding program

Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management
