Job summary

Millennium Physician Group seeks a detail-oriented Medical Coding Specialist to support risk adjustment coding and documentation initiatives. You will analyze coding trends, perform chart reviews and audits, assign ICD-10-CM codes, and collaborate with providers to improve accuracy and risk capture.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of Medicare Risk Adjustment experience, CPC certification, and proficiency with Excel and EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent required.
• 1+ year Medicare Risk Adjustment experience; quality improvement experience preferred.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC or equivalent) required.
• Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate ICD‑10‑CM and CPT coding with zero errors. Validate diagnosis and treatment documentation, query providers for clarification.
• Stay current on coding guideline updates and communicate changes, trends, and payer issues to leadership.
• Use auditing tools to monitor accuracy, identify trends, and drive corrective action.
• Meet productivity benchmarks and maintain active professional coding certification.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Coding Specialist to support accurate risk adjustment coding and documentation initiatives. In this role, you will analyze coding and documentation trends, perform retrospective chart reviews and audits, assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, and collaborate with providers and operational teams to improve coding accuracy and risk capture. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, self-directed, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of coding quality and compliance.

Physical & Work Requirements

Primarily sedentary with occasional standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 lbs). Requires fine motor skills, visual acuity, and standard office environment tolerance.

Compensation Range

$20.90 to $31.35 The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
